Learning How to Kiss

Everybody knows how to kiss… right? It just comes natural, doesn’t it?

The truth is that ninety-nine percent of you out there reading this… along with most of the rest of the humans on the planet … simply don’t have a clue.

I recently ran into relationships author Tom Rassiter, who offered to buy me a cup of coffee. After the usual greetings, our discussion quickly turned to sex and relationships as to be expected, and the subject of kissing came up.

Tom told me he had read a book some years back called The Ten Second Kiss, by Ellen Kriedman.

Ten second kiss? How the heck could someone write a whole book on kissing? I wondered. Everyone kisses for at least ten seconds... or don’t they?

So I started timing my own kisses... and other people I see kissing.

And you know what... nobody kisses for ten seconds! We are a nation of peckers... not kissers!

Furthermore... I challenge any one of you out there to honestly time your usual kiss hello, kiss goodbye, or any in between, “Hey I love you,” kiss, and email me to tell me different. (Contact information at the end of the book.)

I guarantee that 99% of you don’t kiss for even close to ten seconds!

What's even more shocking is how many of us go for a day... or even days... without kissing at all!

We get so wrapped up in our busy day-to-day existence that we sometimes just pass out exhausted at the end of the day without romancing our lover even a little. Then we wonder why the magic seems to be gone from our relationship!

So, be a kisser… not a pecker!

Sure... counting the seconds while we kiss can take the edge away from our focus on the one we're kissing. But it is a great learning tool.

Before long you'll have the timing down pat and be able to turn all of your attention to the pleasure at hand.

EXERCISE: Make it a point to kiss your lover at least three times a day for 10 seconds. For that tiny piece of time out of your day... be totally there with your lover… not thinking about what you are going to be doing 30 seconds from now… or whatever.

Have no other thought on your mind but the kiss and your lover. Forget work… the bills... who will win the game tonight—everything.

Don't let your mind wander or fill with thoughts. Just focus totally on your lover for that brief little time.

Once you’ve got the basics down, you can vary your technique. Walk up from behind and lay a 10 second nuzzle on the back of her neck! Steal a kiss when your lover's hands are soapy or full.

At first... your lover's reaction will be to pull away before the kiss is done. Admonish her gently, and start over with the count.

Believe me... THIS IS POWERFUL STUFF!

The bottom line of all the above is this: Women need to be fulfilled emotionally, and know that they are loved and desired for who they are, and not just a sexual object, in order to be completely fulfilled in a relationship.

That’s why if you only pay romantic attention to your lover when you are in the mood for sex, you may find her running cold more often than hot.

So, never forget that seduction is an ongoing process that should be exercised during every moment of your times together if you really want to see your relationship blossom with passion as well as love.
